This is what your day will look like:
To help safeguard the quality of our products, we are looking for an Assistant Quality Manager for our Poppies Bakeries d’Haubry site in Zonnebeke. Do you have a strong sense of responsibility? Are you a confident personality who is able to intervene when needed and take decisions? You work independently, accurately and with attention to detail. Communication comes naturally to you, and you are honest and flexible.
- You support the maintenance and continuous optimisation of the quality management system.
- As part of the quality team, you are jointly responsible for the correct implementation of the quality system and ongoing compliance with IFS, BRC and Autocontrol standards.
- You carry out quality checks on products, packaging, processes and the working environment.
- You actively contribute to process improvements and the resolution of quality-related issues.
- You assist in the preparation of audits and quality training sessions.
- You perform internal audits and follow up on action and improvement plans.
- You handle customer and supplier complaints.
- You follow up on calibration of measuring equipment and pest control activities.
- You report directly to the Site Quality Manager.
This is what we expect from you:
- You hold a master’s degree in (applied) bio-engineering or industrial engineering (food, biochemistry or chemistry), or equivalent through relevant experience.
- You have experience in a production environment (ideally within the food industry) and feel comfortable on the shop floor.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English.
- You combine accuracy and a strong sense of responsibility with clear, approachable communication and can adapt flexibly in a production environment.
