This is what your day will look like:
For our production site in d’Haubry, where more than one million delicious macarons roll off the production line every day, we are looking for an HR Officer.
As an HR Officer, you play a key role at our production site in Zonnebeke, home to 130 employees. You ensure smooth HR operations while maintaining a warm, people-oriented approach. You are the first point of contact on site and the link between employees and management.
Together with the site management team, of which you are an active member, you contribute to the company's growth, innovation and future, helping us continue to proudly produce the finest macarons.
Personnel administration & employee support
- You manage employment contracts and personnel files in close collaboration with your Payroll colleague.
- You oversee employee onboarding and offboarding, as well as the organisational chart.
- You manage absenteeism and follow up on employee absences.
- You ensure compliance with internal HR policies.
- You are the first point of contact for employees.
Recruitment & onboarding
- You prepare job vacancies in collaboration with the Recruiter.
- You work closely with our temporary employment agency and monitor the agreed KPIs.
- You coordinate the onboarding of new employees, including contracts, induction and training.
- Together with the Plant Manager and Supervisors, you create a warm and professional onboarding experience, ensuring new employees immediately feel at home within the Poppies family.
HR processes
- You coach and support Team Leaders in areas such as conducting performance reviews.
- You are responsible for training planning and competency management.
- You provide support during audits and social inspections.
- You contribute to organisational development and act as a change manager during organisational changes, with clear communication as a top priority.
You report hierarchically to the HR Manager Belgium and functionally to the Plant Manager.

- You are people-oriented, discreet and objective in your approach to employees.
- You are organised, proactive and enjoy taking on new challenges.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English.
- With your positive and coaching mindset, you know how to motivate and connect people.
- You are flexible and regularly visit employees working night and weekend shifts to provide them with the support they need.
- You have a solid understanding of social legislation and can explain it clearly to employees.
