Fancy a job as Maintenance Supervisor?

As a Maintenance Supervisor at Poppies Bakeries d'Haubry, you are responsible for organizing, coordinating, and optimizing all maintenance activities. You lead the maintenance team and ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently at our site, where we produce and package delicious macarons.
You safeguard the technical availability of machines, buildings, and installations, ensuring that the production process can continue continuously, safely, and according to the highest quality standards.

What your day looks like:

1. Maintenance Management

• You develop and follow up on preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
• You monitor interventions and KPIs such as MTTR, number of breakdowns, and technical availability, and take targeted actions in case of recurring failures.
• You analyze malfunctions and implement structural improvements.
• You ensure maximum availability and reliability of installations.

2. Leading the Maintenance Team

• You manage a team of 6 technicians (3 shifts), 1 maintenance engineer, and a part-time administrative colleague.
• You create schedules and set priorities.
• You coach, develop, and evaluate team members.
• You promote a safe and quality-driven work culture.

3. Technical and Operational Management

• You manage spare parts and the warehouse.
• You monitor the maintenance budget with monthly follow-ups.
• You supervise external suppliers and contractors.
• You manage and follow up on maintenance contracts in consultation with the plant manager.

4. Safety, Quality, and Hygiene

• You apply HACCP, BRC, and IFS standards.
• You ensure all work meets safety and quality requirements.
• You oversee the correct use of PPE and safety procedures.
• You coordinate inspections.

5. Continuous Improvement

• You initiate and implement small improvement projects.
• You reduce downtime and maintenance costs.

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in electromechanics, industrial engineering, or equivalent through experience.
• You have experience in a technical environment; leadership experience is a plus but not required.
• You have strong and broad technical knowledge (mechanics, electricity, automation, and HVAC).
• You are communicative, people-oriented, and well-organized.
• You are analytical, solution-oriented, and hands-on.
• You are flexible and regularly present during the night shift.
• Experience in the food industry is an asset.
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch and French, and a basic knowledge of English.
• You have experience with maintenance systems and MS Office.
