This is what your day will look like:
As a Preventative Maintenance Assistant, you’ll support our maintenance and safety efforts to keep everything running smoothly. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with special projects as directed by the Preventive Maintenance (PM) Manager/Coordinator
- Serving as a backup to the PM Manager/Coordinator, including issuing and closing work orders
- Retrieving and managing preventive maintenance data in PM Software System for audits and reporting
- Assisting with ordering and maintaining inventory for CIP and wastewater chemicals
- Helping to order, organize, and store cleaning and housekeeping supplies
- Sorting and organizing parts to support accurate inventory management
- Performing minor maintenance work such as painting, using hand tools, clearing ice, and basic plumbing
- Reviewing daily maintenance logs, issuing temporary work orders, and handling follow-ups
- Coordinating with contractors and verifying completed work in partnership with leadership
- Ensuring all contractors and visitors comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Analyzing daily supervisor reports and collaborating on technical issues
- Providing occasional support to maintenance technicians
- Supporting OSHA, BRC, and housekeeping compliance efforts
- Assisting the Safety Coordinator with safety-related tasks
- Carrying out additional duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager

- On-the-job maintenance experience or familiarity with mechanical systems and PM tools
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain clear, efficient records
- A collaborative, team-focused attitude with great communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Access, Office, email, and PM systems
- A commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining a clean, well-organized work environment
