Are you a manager with a passion for optimization and a good team atmosphere? Then this role as Production Manager is for you! At our site in Komen, you will have the opportunity to lead a driven team and ensure the efficiency of our production lines. Due to the recent expansion with two additional production lines, our site now comprises eight lines. Consequently, this role offers you broad responsibility and a highly varied range of tasks. You will also play an important role in coaching, guiding, motivating, and training approximately 140 employees (120 permanent staff and 20 temporary workers).
Your responsibilities:
- As Production Manager, you manage the (assistant) shift supervisors and coach all employees (approximately 140 FTEs) towards a continuous improvement & problem-solving mindset. In this role, you work closely with HR regarding personnel policy (recruitment, integration, training, feedback sessions, etc.).
- You provide support in the organization, coordination, and follow-up of various activities within the production department to ensure that the set objectives regarding quality, efficiency, and cost control are achieved.
- You monitor production parameters and processes and ensure optimizations where necessary.
- During the daily kick-off meeting, you ensure a smooth transfer of information within production and oversee the follow-up of action points.
This is what we expect from you:
- You are a born people manager and know how to motivate employees to achieve ambitious goals.
- You preferably have a technical education or can match this through experience. Experience in the food sector is a major plus.
- You are a good communicator and can express yourself fluently in both Dutch and French.
- You are solution-oriented and enjoy contributing ideas to projects regarding, among other things, digitalization within production, waste reduction, etc.
- As a supervisor, you also want to be there for the night and weekend shifts, so you are flexible enough to visit them occasionally.
