This is what your day will look like:

As a production planner, you are a crucial link in our company between sales, purchasing, production and logistics to ensure a smooth production of cigarettes, coconut pastries and American cookies. You are responsible for planning, controlling and directing the production process on a daily basis. Furthermore, you evaluate the preparatory planning on a weekly basis, based on forecasts and orders.

  • Drawing up the planning of the various production lines. Not only do you take orders, stock and forecasts into account, but also consider staffing, line efficiency and availability of packaging and raw materials.
  • You follow up new orders and integrate them into the planning.
  • You monitor the planned planning and effectively produced quantities and make adjustments where necessary.
  • You keep track of the raw material stock on a daily basis and are responsible for the timely ordering or calling of the various raw materials. You strive to optimise the stock of finished products in order to keep stock levels as low as possible.
  • Sending and following up supplier complaints.
  • You participate in the daily kick-off meeting where planning issues are discussed with the different departments.
  • You will report to the plant manager.

This is what we expect from you:

  • You enjoyed a bachelor's degree in an economic field (or equivalent through experience).
  • A first experience as a planner in a production environment is a big plus.
  • You have an affinity with the production floor and processes and like to be informed about what is happening in production. Thinking along about optimisations within the planning therefore gives you energy.
  • Working in a planned and structured way is your thing, but you also know how to be flexible in case of changes.
  • You like being part of a team and playing your part in it.
  • You have a healthy dose of assertiveness and during consultations you communicate fluently in Dutch, French and English.

This is what you get in return:

  • Together with your colleagues, you will step into our Sweet Adventure growth trajectory, allowing both you and our organisation to grow.

  • You can count on an attractive salary package including a range of fringe benefits.
  • You will be given the necessary space to follow training courses and grow in your position.
  • At Poppies Bakeries, we focus on a good work-life balance through flexible hours and 6 days off.
  • Together with your colleagues, you will participate in our Sweet Adventure growth trajectory, allowing both you and our organisation to grow.
  • Every day, you will work on The Sweet adventure so that everyone in the world can enjoy and our delicious products.

Tasty testimonials

I’ve been working as a production line worker for 18 years, first at d’Haubry and then at Poppies Bakeries after the takeover. Laughter and chatting in the workplace are not frowned on, which I very much appreciate. Being able to make people happy with a biscuit makes me happy too. Back in the day, there were only 4 of us working at d’Haubry. Since then, our production environment has evolved and been automated a great deal since then, giving me the opportunity to evolve over the years too!
