This is what your day will look like:
At Poppies Bakeries, quality is at the heart of everything we do. For our production site in Comines, we are looking for a Quality Controller who will help safeguard the quality of our products throughout the entire production process.
In this role, you will be present on the production floor on a daily basis, ensuring that our quality and hygiene standards are strictly respected. You will work closely with the production team and report to the Site Quality Manager.
As a Quality Controller, you are a constant presence on the production floor, keeping a close eye on quality and hygiene.
• Throughout the production process, you inspect and approve products according to the applicable specifications.
• If a product does not meet the required standards, you detect the deviation and register it accurately.
• You monitor cleaning procedures and ensure they are carried out correctly.
• You review registrations and quality documentation to ensure they are complete and accurate.
• You ensure cleanliness and hygiene within the production environment and monitor compliance with internal rules. If quality or hygiene standards are not respected, you address this with colleagues.
• You support the team in preparing audits and internal quality training. You also assist in drafting process specifications and clear work instructions.
• You regularly calibrate measuring equipment to guarantee reliable measurements.
• You work in a shift system (5 am–1 pm and 1 pm–9 pm).
This is what we expect from you:
• You hold a bachelor’s degree in a food-related field or have built up equivalent experience.
• Working in a food production environment appeals to you: you enjoy being present on the shop floor and closely following production processes.
• You communicate easily with production colleagues and can clearly express yourself in Dutch and French.
• You have knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• You combine accuracy with a strong sense of responsibility and always keep quality standards in mind.
