This is what your day will look like:
As an R&D Manager at Poppies Bakeries, you will be responsible for leading our Research & Development team and driving innovation in our product lines.
Here’s what your day will look like:
• Leading and inspiring the R&D team (6 product developers in Belgium and the Netherlands) to promote product development and innovation (for new and existing recipes).
• Ensuring a consistent way of working across the group.
• Being part of the innovation board, where you provide strategic input.
• Collaborating with external parties such as suppliers and research institutes to explore and develop innovative solutions.
• Reporting to the CEO of the Poppies Bakeries group.
This is what we expect from you:
• You are an experienced food technologist, preferably with expertise in the bakery or ingredient sector.
• You know how to lead and inspire a team to achieve results together.
• You are a true people manager and can easily adapt to different cultures.
• You are analytical and problem-solving: you see complex challenges as an opportunity to grow.
• You work from our headquarters in Zonnebeke but are willing to travel occasionally to our production sites in the Netherlands.
